If you have just fitted a new resistor, do not start vaping straight away.

After filling, leave the device to rest for around 10 minutes.

This step allows the cotton inside the resistor to soak up the e-liquid properly before first use. It thus reduces the risk of heating cotton that is still too dry and causing a burnt taste.
